🇺🇸 🇰🇵 Trump and Kim meet after months of threats and insults | Al Jazeera English

After 18 months of trading insults and threats of nuclear annihilation, Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un have held face-to-face talks in Singapore.

It is the first time a sitting US president has met with a North Korean leader.

At stake: denuclearisation on the Korean Peninsula and a formal end to the Korean War, almost 70 years after it began.

Al Jazeera’s Adrian Brown reports from Singapore.
