The UN Security Council has met to discuss the withdrawal of Houthi rebels from the port of Hodeidah, which is a pipeline for channelling aid. It’s part of a six-month review of an agreement reached in Sweden.
The council heard that despite the Houthis’ move, the humanitarian situation was worsening in Yemen
On Wednesday fighting erupted in the southern city of Taiz.
The Houthis also claimed responsibility for an attack in Saudi Arabia, further complicating efforts for peace in the country.
Al Jazeera’s James Bays reports from the UN.
