Clashes between indigenous supporters of former Bolivian President Evo Morales and police continued in La Paz on Wednesday.

Police fired tear gas trying to disperse the crowds, who reciprocated by throwing rocks, bricks, and other projectiles.

Dressed in colourful traditional attire, protesters had earlier flooded La Paz streets.

On Sunday, Bolivian President Evo Morales announced his resignation, following weeks of unrest in the wake of the disputed October 20 presidential election. Morales said he had received threats from opposition leaders and was eventually forced by the country’s military to step down.
