As the world looks on in horror while Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro fails to stop wildfires from ravaging the Amazon rainforest, Brazil’s indigenous peoples have felt the effects of forest depletion for years. With every fire comes a new cattle farm or soybean plantation that brings a further encroachment on their way of life.
