Canada: Reedie’s final conference as WADA chief kicks off in Montreal

Sir Craig Reedie hosted his final World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) annual conference as President in Montreal on Wednesday.

The outgoing president used his speech to announce a continued partnership with the Canadian city.

Officials from Montreal thanked Reedie for his term in office and congratulated Witold Banka securing the presidency in 2020.

Banka defeated Marcos Diaz of the Dominican Republic and Norway’s Linda Helleland, an outspoken critic of WADA’s response to the Russian doping scandal, in a vote on Tuesday.
