Over 100 dachshund dogs dressed up in a variety of cute costumes and took part in an annual parade on St. Petersburg’s Vasilievsky Island, Saturday.
The dogs, which were dressed as princesses, butterflies, pharaohs and nurses were accompanied by their owners who also wore costumes.
One of the dachshund owners said that she makes completely new costumes for her dog every year.
The annual dachshund parade was one of several events held in the city to mark the 316th anniversary of St. Petersburg’s founding on May 27, 1703.
