Drowning migrant toddler miraculously revived by Turkish fishermen

Two fishermen were hailed as heroes after rescuing an 18-month-old Syrian toddler and his family at sea on Wednesday (October 21) when the boat carrying them towards the Greek islands sank off the coast near the Turkish holiday resort of Kusadasi.

Fisherman Cenap Gumran pulled three members of the family onto his boat, before he and his colleague found the body of Mohammed Hasan floating in a life jacket.

“He is alive, he is alive”, fisherman Recep Evran shouted as he realised the infant was not dead and worked to revive him.
