Right-wing marchers celebrating Finland’s Independence Day were met with anti-fascist protesters in Helsinki on Thursday.
Anti-fascist protesters could be seen calling marchers “Nazis” in footage but mounted police managed to keep the peace between the two groups
Finns Party politician Sebastian Tynkkynen said: “For me personally it’s very important to be here, be supporting our rights to celebrate our independence, history, legacy, culture. The more we get the resistance from those groups, the more it is important to be here.”
Four people were arrested in an earlier march for resisting a police attempt to confiscate Nazi flags with the Swastika symbol.
