A stolen lorry was intentionally rammed into eight cars in the centre of the west German city of Limburg on Monday, leaving 17 people injured.
The driver, who according to police commandeered the vehicle at around 17:20 local time (15:20 GMT), also sustained injuries in the incident and has been arrested.
Police have not ruled out terrorism as a possible motive behind the incident but also stated that it was routine to arrest any driver involved when an incident results in a high number of injuries.
