Greece: Two Russian diplomats reportedly expelled over alleged interference

Two Russian diplomats were reportedly expelled from Greece over alleged intereference in the Macedonia name dispute settlement on Wednesday. Footage shows the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Athens shortly after Greek media reported the authorities’ decision to expel two Russian diplomats and ban the entry of two others.

According to media reports, the Greek government has accused the Russian diplomats of allegedly disrupting national security and seeking to boost opposition to a historic deal reached between Greece and Macedonia on June 17.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated on the same day that it would retaliate by taking reciprocal measures.
