Indonesia: Workers perish in Sumatra matchstick factory fire

At least 30 people, including three children, were killed in a deadly blaze that swept through a matchstick factory in the city of Binjai in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province on Friday.

Police believe workers were locked inside the building when the fire started, although four women managed to escape.

Footage filmed by Ruptly reveals the damage in the burnt-out factory, with charred debris littering the floor.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
