Former permanent representative of Venezuela to the UN Rafael Ramirez expressed his opinion that neither current President Nicolas Maduro nor the country’s self-proclaimed leader Juan Guaido can tackle the Venezuelan crisis, as he spoke during interview in Rome on Saturday.

“I believe that Maduro is not only incompetent president, I believe that this government will be the worst government in Venezuela in our history,” he said. “Behind Guaido there is extremely right-wing sector in the country, also with some support from the US.”

Ramirez also said that Maduro was not a faithful follower of former president Hugo Chavez and called him a ‘traitor.’
