Ivory Coast presidential election: Ruling party considers Ouattara running again

Ivory Coast mourns the premier who had been due to run in upcoming presidential elections. Amadou Gon Coulibaly’s shock death on Wednesday has left the ruling party willing to consider incumbent President Alassane Ouattara running again as its candiate. Also, several people are killed in DR Congo as clashes break out between police and protesters objecting to the new chief of the country’s electoral commission. And in Kenya, school closures due to the coronavirus have left the most vulnerable even more so. Authorities are worried about a surge in post-lockdown teenage pregnancies.
