Kenya’s finance minister pleads not guilty to corruption charges

Kenya’s Finance Minister Henry Rotich has been granted bail after an unprecedented court appearance in connection with a corruption scandal involving about $250m.
Rotich pleaded not guilty to abuse of power involving contracts for two hydroelectric dams which have yet to be built.
Along with Rotich, 26 senior officials have also been charged. And prosecutors are seeking the extradition of an Italian construction company boss.
