Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stressed the importance of reinforcing pressure on North Korea during a visit to the Latvian capital of Riga on Saturday.
SOT, Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan (Japanese) : “Today I have come to a common understanding with Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis on the importance of reinforcing pressure on North Korea and also we share the recognition on the importance of bringing an early solution to the abduction issue.”
SOT, Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan (Japanese) : “I welcome a successful conclusion of the Japan – EU EPA [Economic Partnership Agreement] negotiations last December. Prime Minister Kucinskis and I agreed to work in cooperation to move towards the early signing and entry into force of the agreement so as to further promote trade and investment between our countries.”
SOT, Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan (Japanese) : “Moreover, I came to agreement with Prime Minister Kucinskis to launch the Japan-Baltic cooperation dialogue as a comprehensive framework of dialogue to further advance cooperation between Japan and the Baltic states.”
