Ruptly is live from a polling station in Moscow on the third day of a nationwide vote on a package of constitutional amendments, on Saturday, June 27.
The week-long plebiscite ends on July 1. The amendments have already been passed by Russia’s parliament and the constitutional court, and include banning important officials from having foreign citizenship and restricting all future presidents’ time in office to a total of two terms. If approved, the reforms would also reset the terms already served by President Vladimir Putin, allowing him to run again for a fifth term in 2024.
