Head coach of the Croatian national football team Zlatko Dalic holds a press conference alongside a Croatian player in Rijeka on Thursday, October 11, a day ahead of the match against England in the UEFA Nations League.
The match is the second for both teams in the competition, with both having lost to group leaders Spain – England by one goal to two and Croatia by a thumping 0-6.
The game is set to be played behind closed doors. Croatia, the finalist of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, received a two-game penalty after a swastika appeared imprinted onto their pitch at the Euro 2016 qualifying match against Italy. The symbol appeared as the team was already playing behind closed doors after being punished due to racist chants by its supporters in a match against Norway.
