LIVE: Indigenous Group protest in La Paz against self-proclaimed new interim president

They are demanding the resignation of the new self-proclaimed interim president Jeanine Anez. With the support of the opposition, Senator Jeanine Anez assumed yesterday the interim presidency of Bolivia. She assumed the role following the resignation of Evo Morales. “Ponchos Rojos” (Red Ponchos), is a militia comprising mostly Aymara indigenous peasants from the Bolivian army in the Andean region of Omasuyos, and supporters of former President Evo Morales. They demand the immediate resignation of Jeanine Anez. The march departs from the University UPEA of El Alto and is expected to reach Plaza Murillo, downtown La Paz.
