The fourth Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) takes place in the city of Vladivostok on Thursday, September 13, for the final day.
Established by presidential decree in 2015, the EEF became a platform for promoting political, economic and cultural ties between Russia and the Asia Pacific region.
Top of the agenda at this year’s conference was energy cooperation in the Far East of Russia and the adoption of new technologies, with the business programme focusing especially on the development of human capital assets in the region.
Highlights included an international regatta of large sailboats and a ‘Go’ board game tournament. As ever, EEF-2018 was held on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok.
