Demonstrators are set to march during the ‘National Day of Mourning’ in Washington D.C. on Thursday, June 4, in the wake of massive protests over the killing of George Floyd across the US and other countries.

Floyd was a 46-year-old black man who was killed during an arrest in Minneapolis on Monday, May 25, after policeman Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes although Floyd was protesting he couldn’t breathe.

Three officers have been charged with aiding and abetting murder in the death of George Floyd. The officer who pressed his knee into Mr. Floyd’s neck is now charged with second-degree murder.
