Ruptly is live from Minneapolis on Monday, June 1, as protests against police brutality sparked by George Floyd’s death continue.

The 46-year-old black man died in Minneapolis earlier last week after a police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes as he was recorded saying “I can’t breathe” and “Don’t kill me.”

Four officers involved in the incident have since been fired. The police officer who knelt on Floyd was arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter on Friday, as protesters call for the arrest of the other three officers.
