Mexico City better prepared for earthquakes than in 1985

Last week’s earthquake in Mexico was the strongest to hit the country in 100 years.

In the south, tens of thousands of homes were destroyed and millions of people were affected.

But the nation’s capital and its 20 million people fared better, and were well prepared when disaster struck.
