A Maltese oil tanker collided with a Norway military vessel in Norwegian waters on Thursday, forcing the short-term closure of a North Sea crude export terminal and gas processing plant.

The KNM Helge Ingstad frigate was seen aground and tilting on one side, in footage released on Friday.

Eight people were reported injured in the incident.

Both the Sture oil export terminal and the Kollsnes gas plant re-started operations later on Thursday.
