Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Interior Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced that the country is planning to buy the US weapons systems, during a press briefing in Warsaw on Sunday

The announcement came following the Americans’ decision to approve the deal worth an estimated $414 million (€365 million) covering the sale of 20 High Mobilityar Artillery Rocket System Launchers (HIMARS) and associated support equipment.

Morawiecki said that “in the modern world, we must have a strong, modern army. And for the construction a strong and modern army, army artillery, tanks and rockets are an indispensable contribution.”
