Emirati astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri and Russian cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin held a post-flight press conference at Star City on Wednesday, after landing safely in Kazakhstan last week.

Answering a tongue-in-cheek question on whether he thought the Earth was flat, Mansouri assured the public that planet Earth really was round, based on his experience in space. He also thanked the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre and its staff for the training he had received prior to the launch.

Ovchinin on his part commented on the work of Skybot F850, a humanoid robot that is also known as Fedor.

The cosmonaut generally assessed the Fedor’s performance as successful despite some minor problems at the very beginning.

Ovchinin and Mansouri returned back to Earth on board the Soyuz MS-12 aircraft on October 3.
