Russia: Football coach warns of ‘tough’ match against Spain

Russian national football team coach Stanislav Cherchesov and player Alan Dzagoev spoke in Saint Petersburg on Monday about the difficulties of facing Spain in a friendly on November 14.

Cherchesov said: “It’s tough for everyone to play with the Spaniards. Almost all national teams don’t demonstrate their best games with them. The Spaniards put everything on control. However, they have weak points and we should use this.”

SOT, Alan Dzagoev, Russian national football team player (Russian): “It’s tough for everyone to play with the Spaniards. Almost all national teams don’t demonstrate their best games with them. The Spaniards put everything on control. However, they have weak points and we should use this.”

SOT, Stanislav Cherchesov, Russian national football team coach (Russian): “We play with different teams, different styles. It is clear that we should prepare psychologically in a right way. When someone says that we play with a top-ranked team and there is no need to prepare, I would say that nothing happens by itself and a proper preparation is needed.”
