Portugal’s national team held a training session in Kratovo village in the Moscow region on Wednesday, two days ahead of their first World Cup game against Spain.

After the practice, Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva spoke at a press-conference and said he was confident about the upcoming encounter against “La Roja”.

“I think everyone knows that the Spanish national team is the favourite in this championship, and, naturally, one of the favourites of the upcoming game. But Portugal has its ambitions. We know that we will play well, because we have a good level, and we can win. I believe that if we go to our goal and focus on our goal as much as possible, will be ambitious, will be able to create some difficulties for the Spaniards and achieve our goal”, he affirmed.

“It will be a big championship for me, it is a great honour for me to represent Portugal”, added Silva.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup takes place in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
