Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu met with his Chinese counterpart Wei Fenghe in the Russian capital on Thursday on the sidelines of the eight Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS).
According to Shoigu, Sino-Russian relations “are reaching a new, unprecedentedly high level, becoming an important factor in ensuring peace and international security.”
Weng on his part said that his attendance of the MCIS “is to demonstrate the high quality of the Russian-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership; and to also show the great friendship between China and Russia to the international world.”
The 8th Moscow Conference on International Security is organised by the Russian Ministry of Defence in order to discuss the most pressing problems on international security.
