Salome Zurabishvili: Georgia became more democratic without Saakashvili | DW English

Born in Paris in a family of Georgian emigrants, career diplomat Salome Zurabishvili faces a runoff vote after a narrow lead in the first round of presidential elections in Georgia. In an interview with DW´s Zhanna Nemtsova, the harsh critic of former president Mikheil Saakashvili stressed the importance of democracy in her country and answered to the recent criticism of her French accent in Georgia.
