Syria: Idlib refugee camps face ‘humanitarian catastrophe’ | DW Stories

In Syria, government forces backed by Russian airstrikes have intensified their offensive in Idlib, the country’s last rebel-held province. Dozens of people have been killed over the last few months. An estimated three million people live in Idlib province. According to UN figures, 1.1 million of them are internally displaced refugees. Many live in overcrowded camps. The UN has warned of a looming “humanitarian catastrophe” in the province. DW met to one family who has been living in such a camp for two years.
