Trump cancels visit to Denmark after PM rejects sale of Greenland

US President Donald Trump has defended his decision to cancel his trip to Denmark.
He called the Danish prime minister “nasty” after Mette Frederiksen said Trump’s idea of buying Greenland was “absurd”.
Greenland is a semi-autonomous territory with a population of just 58,000 people.
Eighty percent of it is covered by an ice sheet, but Trump appears to have made the offer for strategic reasons.
Al Jazeera’s White House Correspondent Kimberly Halkett reports from Washington, DC.
