NO ACCESS AL JAZEERA
American Pastor Andrew Brunson arrived at the Court for Grave Crimes of Turkey’s Izmir Province on Friday, amid reports of the White House reaching a deal with Turkey for his release.
The hearing comes after Brunson’s lawyer Ismail Halavurt filed an appeal against the decision to hold Brunson under house arrest and prohibit him from leaving the country.
Brunson was arrested two years ago over alleged links to the outlawed Kurdish PKK party and to the Fetullah Gulen movement, which Turkey claims was behind the 2016 attempted coup.
