UK: ‘I am the record man’ – Ronaldo boasts after Champions League win

The world’s press lined up to interview players from Real Madrid and Juventus FC, as they left Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, on Saturday night, following the Champions League final which saw Real Madrid take the title for a record 12th time.

Portuguese Forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored three of Real Madrid’s four goals in the final, boasted, “I’m the record man so nothing surprises me yet,” as he left the venue.

Real Madrid’s fourth goal was scored by Attacking Midfielder Marco Asensio, who said that it was a “dream come true.”

While assessing the outcome of the match Juventus Right Back Dani Alves spoke of the failings of his side, “I think that was our fault, when Real started to put pressure on us and to generate opportunities; we didn’t know our way out.”

The Spanish side beat Juventus 4-1 in Cardiff to take home the trophy for a fourth year in a row.
