Ford showcased its brand-new electric Mustang prototype at the Speed Equipment Manufacturing Association (SEMA) show at Las Vegas Convention Center, as footage from Thursday shows.
The Mustang ‘Lithium’ has a six-speed manual transmission that is not that necessary for electric cars, but, according to the manufacturer, adds up fun to driving the vehicle.
“That was our way of showing how you can have that driver to vehicle interaction, control that power with the manual transmission, it makes a lot of fun to drive,” said Josh Lupu, Director of marketing for Webasto Customized Solutions.
Webasto reportedly equipped the 900-hp car with an 800-volt electric battery.
