Venezuelan opposition leader and Head of the National Assembly Juan Guaido addressed the recent blackout affecting the Latin American country, accusing Venezuela’s government of inefficiency in solving the country’s problems. Guaido made the remarks during an extraordinary session of parliament in Caracas on Tuesday.

“They do not know how [to solve it], they created it. This government is so inefficient, so corrupt and so useless,” said Guaido who dismissed the claims of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro that the recent blackouts were caused by the opposition camp.

Guaido also addressed the arrival of around 100 Russian soldiers to Caracas, reportedly as part of a military collaboration between the two countries.

“They brought foreign soldiers to national soil, obviating the crisis we suffered in Venezuela,” stated Guaido.
