Argentina’s outgoing president Mauricio Macri said goodbye to his loyal supporters outside the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
The centre-right leader joined by his wife Juliana Awada waved to the crowd from the balcony before taking to a stage to deliver a speech.
He promised a “constructive opposition” to newly-elected president and Peronist Alberto Fernandez, who is due to take office on Monday.
Macri’s four years in power were marked by economic crisis, which ultimately led to his defeat in October’s election.
