Acres of land are saturated…towns and villages stand in murky floodwater…and some farms have been totally cut off.Cattle have been left to totter for safety, while vehicles and trains have brought to a standstill.The body of a Derbyshire woman was found by police and mountain rescuers after she was swept away in the torrential rainsThe Prime Minister however says the current situation is not a national emergency, but he’s stressed that his government is poised to help in any way it can.
