French doctors unsure of Covid-19 vaccine effectiveness for patients with immune system problems
As Covid-19 cases keep rising in France, the government has come under criticism for not rolling out the vaccination program fast enough. This week, authorities widened the list of people considered priority: patients with cancer are now eligible to get shots. But as FRANCE 24’s team reveals, French doctors are unsure of the Covid-19 vaccine’s effectiveness when it comes to patients with immune system problems, such as cancer, AIDS and other diseases. Indeed, clinical trials for the vaccines did not focus on immunocompromised patients.
