Greece: Protesters demand EU impose sanctions against “Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression”

Crowds of protesters from the Armenian community gathered to rally against “Azerbaijani aggression” in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, outside the European Union Commission Offices in Athens on Thursday.

Protesters held placards “Stop Killer Erdogan” depicting the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and chanted slogans against Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Hripsime Haroutunian, president of the Armenian National Committee of Greece, said, “We ask the European Union to impose sanctions against the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression”

“The barbarity of the Turks against the Armenian people should stop at last. They should be punished, not caressed. They must be stopped,” added protester Asnik.
