Hondurans remain hopeful as Guatemala cracks down on caravan

Police in Guatemala have fired tear gas to disperse thousands of Honduran migrants trying to make their way to the United States.
Security forces surrounded the group on a highway in Vado Hondo, near the border with Honduras.
Some were arrested as they tried to break through a police blockade and head for Mexico.
Authorities said they would not let anyone in without a COVID-19 test or the right papers.
Honduras has long suffered widespread crime and poverty, but the pandemic and then a series of storms in November have made life worse for many.

Al Jazeera’s John Holman reports from Mexico City.
