Mexico: AMLO attends commemoration of 110th anniversary of Mexican Revolution

Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) attended a ceremony marking the 110th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution in Mexico City on Friday.

The president presented decorations and promotions to several members of the armed forces, who reiterated their loyalty to the president and affirmed that they “do not yearn for any power.”

Performers could be seen acting out scenes from the armed conflict that began in November 1910, after the dictatorship of Porfirio Diaz that started in 1876 and lasted 35 years.

According to reports, the event included a monumental flag, 70 national flags, 396 members of the armed forces, and 189 horses.
