Tensions high in Guinea: Opposition leader claims victory in presidential election | DW News

Tensions are high in Guinea following Sunday’s general election. Official results are not out yet but the opposition candidate has declared himself the winner. For day’s Cellou Dalein Diallos supporters have been involved in clashes with security forces. Opposition supporters are deeply suspicious about the fairness of the poll, although the government – and election observers say it was fair.
