Hurricane Isaias made landfall in South Carolina on Monday, with sustained winds and heavy rain as could be seen in footage from Ocean Drive in North Myrtle Beach.

A Ferris wheel can be seen spinning in the storm as the hurricane has sustained winds of up to 137km/h (85mph) and is expected to bring up to 15cm (6 inches) of rain.

The hurricane, expanding on its way to the north-east, is expected to hit the most east coast, causing urban floodings and possibly tornadoes near the coast by Wednesday, the National Weather Service warned.
